The State That I Am In

Consumer Product Shout-out

I don’t recommend too many consumer products because tastes differ, but I have to recommend these: Blue Bell Great Divide bars. I bought these to take to a BBQ tonight (known to Germans as a “Grillparty”), and they were a huge hit, and are indeed very toothsome. They are ice cream bars, but one half is chocolate ice cream and the other half is vanilla ice cream. As if that weren’t cool enough, the halves are covered in brown and white chocolate respectively. The result is a crunchy, magical shell with ice cream in the middle. So good. It’s like the ice cream equivalent of a black-and-white cookie. What? You’ve never had one of those? Then get thee to NYC immediately and pick one up. If going to NYC immediately isn’t an option, go get these. Unless you live in a state that is too sucky to have Blue Bell. At that point, you’ve really exhausted my resources, and I can’t help you. Nom nom nom.

Ancillary note: it’s 10 p.m. in Texas and the temperature in my city is 96 degrees. That’s not right.
